LET’S ENERGIZE AMERICA NOW!
(At a recent speech in Western Colorado, Charles Bisbee, a founder of ENERGIZE AMERICA NOW and CEO of a small oil company in rural Kansas, gave these thoughts about a near-term solution to America’s developing energy crisis. The organization, ENERGIZE AMERICA NOW, is rapidly expanding. The membership consists of not only small oil producers, but Americans from all walks of life, united in their belief that we Americans are a nation of problem solvers. Here are his thoughts.)
I read each day about America’s reliance on ‘foreign oil’; the nightly newscasts frequently show a red-capped Hugo Chavez gloating over sticking it to America; too many networks rail on about how ‘Big Oil’ is gouging us and these expert talking-heads tell us that the answer is ‘alternative energy’. Alternative energy? Oh, I see, we just turn a switch and BEHOLD! we have fuel-cell powered cars; houses lighted by new florescent bulbs; all of our electricity provided by suddenly emerging wind turbines and our offices lighted by photo voltaic systems. That should do it. These are the real answers! Right. And the tooth fairy and the Easter bunny are real, also. Well, I doubt it…
